Act

Becoming more agile, innovative and able to respond quickly to change involves being flexible, nimble and adaptable.

If your team is in crisis mode, constantly fighting fires, we can help. (If not we can help too, see below). We offer, immediate, hands-on help to get your heads above water in the short term. Next we add structure to get to a more sustainable way of working and jointly devise a a strategy to become an a team that can do amazing things.

We start by making a quick assessment of the situation using our measurement tool. Based on the results and information from the team we identify the most immediate needs. This is when we can act. What we do depends of what we’ve learnt but it can range from introducing agile practices, project or product management, clarifying process flow to meeting practices, conflict management and decision making processes.

Once everyone can breathe again, we move to developing the personal characteristics each team member needs to become flexible, nimble and adaptable.

In our experience, the place to start (when not in crisis) is always feedback. Statistics show the importance of employee feedback in a whole range of areas from engagement and motivation to lower staff turnover.

Working on projects in an agile way, requires that team members are able to both give and receive feedback as well as being open to being wrong and changing course. The agile manifesto states ‘People and interactions over process and tools’ This underlines the importance of developing individuals and their ability to connect with each other as a starting point. There is much research and many articles written about this such as the £109 billion that soft skills will contribute to the economy or the amount of money wasted in pointless meetings.

In our programme this process of change is taught via a series of mini-modules and interventions that will deliver the shifts in thinking and behaviour.

There are 3 foundation feedback courses, each made up of 3 x 1 hour sessions
